- Sixth Public Hung Fa Yi Workshop
(read reviews)
The Sixth Public Workshop covered the three-track approach of the HFY system using Kiu Sau as an example. The three tracks in HFY are: philosophy, strategy, and technical. In the philosophical approach, the Saam Mo Kiu can be used to give the student a Saan Sau awareness about combat and body structure. In the strategic approach, students learn the proper time and space for Kiu Sau to exist in relationship to Chi Sau and Saan Da, learning when to hit and when not to hit. In the technical approach, before learning Chi Sau, students progress through levels of Kiu Sau training to develop proper reaction and sensitivity.
