 - "2nd
Annual International VTM Workshop"
by Sifus Moy Yat, Yip Ching, Yip Chun, Chu Shong Tin, Mak Po,
Hawkins Cheung, Moy Bing Wah
October 23 to November 1 brought to light a series of history
making Wing Chun events. October 23 and 24 saw the first
workshop conducted by four Sifus of the Yip Man lineage in the
United States.
Immediately following that weekend workshop, the Sifus conducted
the 2nd Ving Tsun Athletic Association Senior
Instructor Certification Program ever held at the VTM making it
the first held outside of China.
Three more Sifus arrived to present information at the
2nd Annual International VTM Workshop making this the
first workshop ever to feature seven Sifu of the Yip Man Wing
Chun System. Several of these Wing Chun veterans had not seen
each other in over 25 years. Their desire to come together at
one place and one time is a testament to their support of the VTM.
In all, this series of events represented the culmination of a
year's planning to celebrate and commemorate the Grand Opening
of the Ving Tsun Museum and spread the concept of Friendship throughout the Wing Chun community.
