- "Ving Tsun Kicking" by Pete Pajil at the Headquarters in ChinaTown.
 
In addition to the visit to the Moy Yat family Headquarters, an additional four Moy Yat Ving Tsun schools were visited in Philadelphia, Pa; Voorhees, NJ; Soho, NY; and Queens,NY. At each stop on this marathon run, broad support was solicited for the formation, construction, and ongoing support of the museum. The trip was made possible through the extensive use of Loewenhagen's motor home for traveling and dining.

Technical Advisor Yip Ching and Curator Benny Meng traveled up through to the East Coast to meet with Honorary Chairman Moy Yat to discuss VTM business

- "Question and Answer" with Yip Ching
 
The VTM flew Technical Advisor Yip Ching for a seminar covering Wing Chun history and Sifu Yip Ching's reflections on his father. On this trip, he also reviewed the entire system of Baat Jaam Dou training, including all training sets, with the museum curator. The goal was to set the museum record straight as to what was taught by Yip Man in regards to Yip Man Ving Tsun weapons.

- "Ving Tsun Gong Sau" by Jeffrey Chan
 
Honorary Chairman Moy Yat with Jeffrey Chan
 
The VTM hosted the legendary Gong Sau fighter Jeffrey Chan for a Friendship Exchange. He was the last person to represent Wing Chun before the Hong Kong government banned Gong Sau in the 1960's. As a show of support for the VTM, he conducted a seminar on his Gong Sau experience.

This workshop was a continuation of the VTM's Friendship efforts to cultivate a relationship with Canada's largest Wing Chun organization headed by Sifu Sunny Tang (Dunn Wah).

- 1st Visit to South American Kung Fu Family

This was the VTM's first official visit to South America, continuing the VTM's Friendship efforts to cultivate International relationships, this time with Brazil's largest Wing Chun organization headed by Sifu Leo Imamura.

In addition to meetings, members of the VTM participated in Grand Master Moy Yat’s 59th birthday celebration. At this time, Curator Meng was promoted to 7th Degree Master Instructor, the highest level awarded by Grand Master Moy Yat.

VTM business conducted while continuing to promote Wing Chun

- Arizona Branch Club Visit (1st visit)
 
To further promote the museum and the teachings of its Curator, the first-ever Meng family Ving Tsun school was formed in the heart of Arizona, June 1996, by Ving Tsun Disciple Richard Loewenhagen. Two months later, Sifu Meng visited this school to assist with its growth and to get Sifu Loewenhagen's inputs on upcoming museum activities and events. Plans were made for future West Coast activities involving the museum.
 
This was the first of many visits to come to the Museum's West Coast representative and its West Coast members.

Part of the VTM effort to continue to research the Yip Man lineage of Wing Chun. This is also the first time Sifu Yip Ching reviewed the entire system of Ving Tsun Kung Fu intensively with the museum curator in private sessions.

- Escorted Yip Ching to Chicago to fly back to Hong Kong
(Dayton, OH to Chicago, IL is a 5 to 6 hour trip)
 
Escorted Technical Advisor Yip Ching to the airport and continued to gather material for a future book. During this trip, many stories and a majority of the information for the upcoming Yip Man book were collected. Sifu Philip Nearing played host to an informal gathering over dinner.
