Sifu Eddie Chong is an internationally recognized martial artists & instructor. Sifu Chong operates from his Sacramento-based school and he has seventeen affiliated schools in eleven American cities and schools in three foreign countries (Singapore, Germany, and Mexico). Sifu Chong has been viewed by many prominent martial artists worldwide as a preeminent practitioner and instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Sifu Chong has been involved with Wing Chun for approximately 30 years. He regularly conducts seminars in and outside the United States. Sifu Chong was born and raised in Singapore. He lived in Japan for two years and came to the United States in 1964 and the age 24. He trained several years in Taekwondo and was about to test for the black belt when he discovered the Wing Chun system. Sifu Chong was lithographer for 20 years and retired in 1989. Sifu Chong now dedicated his life and efforts to teaching and promoting Wing Chun.

Sifu Chong began Wing Chun training under the tutelage of Kenneth Chung, a disciple of Leung Sheung in 1968. Leung Sheung was Yip Man's first and most prized student. Later, Sifu Chong traveled to the province of Foshan, Chin, in order to study the history and roots of Wing Chun, to develop an in-depth understanding of the philosophy and concepts espoused by Wing Chun, and also to enhance his technical skills. Foshan is the birthplace of Wing Chun.

In Foshan, Sifu Chong met and was accepted by Pan Nam as one of his last closed-door students (meaning he was accepted as a private student after Master Pan Nam's retirement). Master Pan Nam is a direct descendant of Shaolin Kung Fu. While training at Foshan, Sifu Chong also met a Bak Mei (White Eyebrow) kung fu master whose style Sifu Chong felt complemented his Wing Chun. The Bak Mei master took Sifu Chong under his tutelage and trained him intensely from 1990-1996.

Today, Sifu Chong teaches the Leung Sheung and Pan Nam styles of Wing Chun, and also Bak Mei. Sifu Chong is fulfilling his lifelong desire to master all aspects of Chinese martial arts, including the health benefits of Qigong and meditation. Qigong channels the life energy to enhance the body's ability for self-healing and regeneration.

Sifu Chong has been the subject of feature articles in several martial arts magazines including Blackbelt Magazine (May 1982) and Inside Kung Fu (September 1985, December 1988, and a two-part article in the July and August 1993 issues). Sifu Chong has also been featured in newspapers in the cities where his schools are located. Wing Chun Kung Fu has gained popularity throughout the years because of the ever increasing crime rates that make such training attractive, but also due to the general popularity of marital arts in movies and on TV (the Kung Fu series), and because Wing Chun is Bruce Lee's original martial art.
