Jeremy Roadruck is currently a third degree Black Sash in the Ving Tsun Museum grading curriculum under the guidance of his Sifu, Master Benny Meng. Jeremy performed his Baai Si under Master Meng on June 28, 1997. Jeremy was in the first group of students to complete the Ip Man system of Wing Chun in 2000 along with 4 other classmates: Richard Loewenhagen, Mike Mathews, Rick Howard, and Dan Wells. Moy Yat International recognized him as a First Degree Instructor in 2000. Jeremy is also recognized as a 7th level Senior Instructor certified by the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong, having participated in the VTAA Senior Instructor Certification Program hosted at the VTM in October, 1999. Jeremy was accepted as a 10th Generation Disciple in the Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu system on September 8, 2001 under Sifu Meng, granted by Grand Master Gee. Jeremy is also a certified Instructor in Krav Maga. Through VTM sponsorship and workshops, in May of 2003 Jeremy completed the Base Level Instructor Course in the Chi Sim Weng Chun Kung Fu System under the direct guidance of Grand Master Andreas Hoffmann.

Jeremy remains active in his training 7 days a week - teaching 5 times a week and training 5 times a week. While realizing that both the value, and limitations, of competition as a useful training method and as a stepping stone to the total reality of combat, Jeremy competed an average of 2 to 3 times a year in Forms, Chi Sau, and Sparring for 4 years. Through understanding the nature of combat sports, he developed an appreciation of combat arts and combat sciences. He is ranked first in the nation by the United States Wushu-Kungfu Federation, having won the Chi Sau competition for three straight years - '98, '99, and '00.

As an active member of the Ving Tsun Museum Committee, he serves as Event Coordinator and in a secondary role is VTM secretary, taking notes on all meetings, answering email, assisting in article production, and more. He has primary responsibility for maintaining the VTM Terminology database, researching Wing Chun phrases and adding new characters on a continuing basis.

Traveling with Curator Benny Meng, Jeremy has been to Canada, Brazil, Hong Kong, China, Korea, and throughout the United States training and competing in Wing Chun. He has met Sifu and Teachers from a diverse collection of martial arts. His wide exposure has helped to provide a wide familiarity with the many families of the Ip Man lineage as well as exposure to lineages outside the Ip Man lineage.

Jeremy has served in the United States Army Reserve achieving the rank of Private, First Class (E3). He is interested in every aspect of martial arts training that will serve to raise the level of the next generation of martial arts instructors, using his limited free time to study anatomy, physiology, learning methodologies, languages, psychology, business models, philosophy, Chinese history, military training and tactics, and sports conditioning. He is one step away from certification by the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) as a personal trainer. He is also a certified Cardio Kickboxing Instructor by the National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA).

Overall, Jeremy is well versed in the martial arts world - fitness, sport, art, and combat science.
