I started Kung Fu under Sifu Benny Meng in 1992. Initially studied Shaolin and a little Ving Tsun at first. Starting in 1993, my husband and I ran the Meng's demonstration team for a couple of years. From this time on we focused more on Ving Tsun Kung Fu.

In 1994 I fought cancer but kept doing the Kung Fu as much as possible to keep me going.

In 1995 I received my 1st degree black sash.

In 1996 I earned Ving Tsun Museum Siu Nim Tao Certification. I was the 1st woman to be certified under the museum.

In 1997 I earned Chum Kiu and Biu Je Certification under the museum. Attended and worked at the 1st annual Ving Tsun Museum Workshop.

In 1998 received 2nd degree black sash under International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation. Competed in the International Wushu Kung Fu Championships in Baltimore. I won a bronze medal in the light-weight chi sau against the men. I took the Senior Instructor Certification from the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong. I was the 1st woman to achieve this and take the certification. Attended and worked at the 2nd Annual Ving Tsun Museum Workshop and Grand Opening.
