A respected leader and teacher, Sifu Loewenhagen has dedicated over 30 years to the study and practice of leadership and martial arts. As a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, he taught Ving Tsun Kung Fu and Shaolin Chin Na to combat and security police personnel. Within the Ving Tsun Kung Fu world at large, he is recognized by the Government of China and the Ving Tsun Athletic Association as having earned their highest level of Ving Tsun certification--that of Senior Instructor. He is one of only a handful of Ving Tsun Sifus in the world to be certified and witnessed at this advanced level by seven Grand Masters of Ving Tsun: Chu Shong Tin, Moy Bing Wah, Mark Po, Hawkins Cheung, Moy Yat, Yip Ching, and Yip Chun. He is also the first Ving Tsun Museum member to complete discipleship training in the Yip Man System under the strict curriculum of the museum. In addition, he is a Grand Special Student of Grand Master Moy Yat and a Ving Tsun Disciple of Master Benny Meng. Sifu Loewenhagen has participated in world Ving Tsun leadership as a Founding Committee member of the Ving Tsun Museum and currently serves as its Director of West Coast Affairs. The school he founded, Meng’s Martial Arts of Arizona, is an official Moy Yat Family Branch School and the West Coast Affiliate of the Ving Tsun Museum. Currently Sifu Loewenhagen is undergoing discipleship training in the Hung Fay Yi (Red Flower Society) tradition under the guidance of Master Garret Gee, the world leader of Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun.
